Simon Hart, Secretary of State for Wales, on the left of the picture, visited the airport during the summer. Whilst there, he received a presentation from Ray Mann, the airport’s MD, about the future technical and commercial opportunities for unmanned aircraft (UA) and the part WWA plays as the UK’S most important test and demonstration centre. The Minister was informed about how the airport continues to lead the way, having now developed to become the UK’s most advanced facility that supports the unmanned sector of aerospace.
Part of his visit was to see the work Thales was doing at the airport in delivering the sophisticated Watchkeeper system to the British Army.
